The Malta Chamber of Psychologists (MCP) expresses its concern regarding Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine which is having tragic consequences on many people and is a threat to everyone in Europe. The MCP expresses its solidarity with all those who are suffering from the consequences of this war.

This situation may trigger anxiety even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect us. Individuals are encouraged to focus on what they can control and to seek support if they feel the need.

Parents, guardians and schools are encouraged to check in on their children/students to see how they are feeling, to reassure them and explain the situation to them in age appropriate language.

The MCP would like to remind the public that they may seek support by calling 179 (Agenzija Appogg), 1770 (Richmond Foundation) or visit www.kellimni.com to speak to someone online.
