The Malta Chamber of Psychologists is organising a series of fora on various topics, the fifth forum being on social media use in children and young people, specifically on the impacts of Australia’s social media ban for under 16’s. This forum will grant attendees 5 CPD hours. A certificate of attendance will be provided.

A number of speakers with a professional interest in social media usage in children and young people will be panelling this forum, including:
- Dr. Keith Pirotta, Senior Educational Psychologist at the School Psychological Service
- Deborah Vassallo, Project Coordinator of the Maltese Safer Internet Centre and the Service Area Leader of the Supportline 179
- Sr. Veronica Gerada, Head of St Monica School, Gżira, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Spirituality
- Dr. Claire Francica, Counselling Psychologist, Existential Psychotherapist, Diploma Candidate at the C.G. Jung Institute in Küsnacht, Zurich, Practitioner in Training in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and a Jungian Sandplay Therapist (BISS/ISST)
The panel moderator is Christine Spiteri, PhD candidate at the University of Malta investigating social connectedness in a digitally connected world.
