The Malta Chamber of Psychologists is organising CPD training titled ‘Emerging Trends and Online Safety’.
Attendees will grant attendees 5 CPD hours. A certificate of attendance will be provided.

This training will be given by Deborah Vassallo, Internet Centre Project coordinator, Supportline Leader & Hotline Analyst, and Davinia Marie Muscat, Safer Internet Centre Officer, Helpline Officer, and Hotline Analyst at BeSmartOnline.
Biographies:
Deborah Vassallo graduated in Social Work in the year 2000 and has worked in the substance abuse field for a number of years both in Malta and in Italy. In 2011, she started working with Aġenzija Appogg within FSWS as a Hotline/Helpline administrator within the Besmartonline! project mainly analysing child sexual abuse material content and giving awareness sessions on the subject. In 2019 she graduated with a Masters in Criminology at the University of Malta and her research focused on Child Sexual Abuse Material and prevention programmes addressing those who view illegal content online. In 2020 she was promoted as the coordinator of the Maltese Safer Internet Centre and the service area leader of the Supportline 179 which is the national helpline in Malta.
Davinia Marie Muscat is a passionate Safer Internet Centre Officer with BeSmartOnline, where she plays a key role in raising awareness about online safety. She engages in public speaking, delivers sessions in schools to both children and parents, and holds training workshops for professionals, empowering them to address and prevent online risks. As a Helpline Officer, Davinia Marie offers vital support to individuals affected by cyberbullying, online abuse, and digital wellbeing challenges. In her role as a Hotline Analyst, she also intervenes in cases related to child sexual abuse material, contributing to the ongoing fight against online exploitation. Outside of her internet safety work, Davinia is a transformational life coach and Reiki master, helping individuals heal, rediscover their true selves, and cultivate balance through a heart-centered approach. Her work seamlessly combines digital safety and personal growth, fostering wellbeing in all aspects of life.
